A · Boomerang
The attack makes a wide U-turn across the stump. You double-take, duck too late, then receive the card's normal landing. 2,060 ms before the landing.
Live lab · Dodge onto you
The beat
- 0–740 msThe red toy ball winds up and approaches the target.
- 740–1,180 msDodge leans clear as the ball curls around. Reflect bats it back along the same curve.
- 1,180–1,880 msThe return crosses the stump. Your animal looks once, looks again, then flinches.
- 1,880–2,060 msThe ball contracts into the handoff. The card's own effect lands on you.
At the table
Your animal turns and ducks at its seat. Desktop uses a 240 ms wide pullback to reveal it above the tray. Pickpocket stays on the board, with no close-up.
The shark dodges onto you, including when you cast the attack.
Key beats
Today / Boomerang
Two cards for each reaction at both sizes. Scroll a strip sideways to inspect every frame. The last frame is the normal card landing.
Lab concept for sign-off. Shared app FX, table code and GLBs are unchanged.
Checked: Bleeding, Bid Loss, Pickpocket and Curse of Loss with Dodge and Reflect at both sizes, plus a chained bounce, a bot cast and a Conjoined partner. The projectile is checked against every projected head during its flight. Your seat position is checked through the handoff.
Integration after selection would add the return beat to Dodge / Reflect, pass the resolved destination through the presentation context and keep the current seated-animal and per-card camera rules.
